Craniosacral Therapy

Bodyfulness

With the stresses and difficulties of day to day life our nervous system and our health can suffer. Craniosacral Therapy supports your body to relax, ease tension and pain, restore balance and health and help you to connect to your heart, body and soul.

Hello, I'm Kirsty

I am here to support you with Craniosacral Therapy as a certified practitioner of CSTA in Bristol and Exeter.

I am passionate about supporting people to cultivate a sense of safety, belonging, health and connection to themselves and within their own body. By connecting to our body and befriending our nervous system, we can feel empowered and resilient. Craniosacral Therapy is an incredible practice that facilitates and nurtures that process.

People who come to see me are often looking for support with nervous system disregulation, anxiety and overwhelm, low moods, disconnection, physical tension, pain and chronic illnesses.

I also work for the charity Penny Brohn facilitating sessions in grounding and nervous system regulation at wellbeing days and retreats for people who have been diagnosed with cancer.

"I was taken away by how gentle the therapy was, but how much shifted within my body during Kirsty's session. I could feel my physical body undergoing subtle changes to bring itself back to peace. My body knew what it needed, Kirsty gave it the space listen and facilitated the freedom within myself to let the changes take place. I'd recommend Kirsty to everyone she is a calming, open and gifted practitioner." - Rosie

About

Tell me about Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle hands-on technique that uses light touch and presence to engage with the different layers of our bodies; the physical, the emotional and the energetic in particular engaging with the movement of the cerebrospinal fluid which is in and around the central nervous system.

During a session you could experience the easing of physical tightness and discomfort, connecting to emotions, peace, deep relaxation, clarity and sense of grounding. By relieving tension in the central nervous system and the rest of the body, CST promotes a feeling of well-being by easing pain and boosting health and immunity.

What can CST do for me?

Nervous System Regulation

In today's society constant stimulation and pressures can mean many of us live with a highly activated nervous system. This can manifest as difficulty sleeping, IBS, high blood pressure and emotional stress. Craniosacral Therapy supports the autonomic nervous system to regulate and find balance.

Embodiment

It's so easy to spend all day in our head with thoughts that just  seem to go round and round.  CST helps to settle your mind and support you to drop into your body. Also by giving time to connect with your body and the more subtle processes that are taking places, CST can help restore a more embodied sense of being and a more cohesive relationship between the body and mind.

Release Tension

Throughout life, we accumulate areas of physical and emotional tension which over time can cause dis-ease in the body, CST supports the body to release this tension, realign and find balance
