  • What can I expect from a Cranio Sacral Therapy session?
In a session will lie on your back fully clothed whilst the practitioner makes light contact with various places on your body, this could include your head, feet, sacrum, chest and back. You may become aware of heat, tingling, pulsations or other sensations and you are likely to feel a deep sense of relaxation. The practitioner is trained to engage with subtle rhythms of the body, by engaging with them as well as other physical, emotional and energetic structures of the body, they help to relieve tensions and restrictions and restore balance is restored which can have profound physical and psychological benefits. Often, with subsequent treatments, clients find that they are much more able to access a state of stillness and calm whenever they need to and in everyday life.
  • What is Craniosacral Therapy?
Craniosacral Therapy is a subtle yet profound and powerful hands-on technique, developed from osteopathy and indigenous bodywork techniques, which identifies pain and tensions held in the body. It supports the body’s natural tendency to find health and optimum balance by relieving the body of these restrictions and allowing it to realign. Craniosacral Therapy can often effect structural change, but also has much wider implications, both physically, psychologically, emotionally and energetically.
  • What are the benefits of regular Cranio Sacral Therapy?
The benefits of regular Craniosacral Therapy is very different for each person. However, it can support you to regulate your nervous system, build resilience and connect you to inner resources and strength. It supports the healing capacities of the body to increase, helping the body to shift to a healthier state of balance and homeostasis. This can support inflammation, the immune system, stress symptoms and emotional overwhelm. By working with CST you start to peel back the patterns of holding, behaviour and activation like layers of an onion. As you do this you allow more space for health, stillness and a sense of ease.
